1 Switch 1 Socket for Light Connection:

This Diagram shows 1 switch 1 socket for light connection. 2 switches 1 socket connection plug socket and a CFL light switch on the same circuit. So don’t worry about wiring a socket from a light switch. If it’s more convenient than wiring.

Components used to make the 1 switch 1 socket wiring:

01. ELCB:

ELCB
Fig 2: ELCB
An earth-leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) is a safety device used in electrical installations with high Earth impedance to prevent shock. Generally, the current sensing devices are termed Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB), and voltage detecting devices are named Earth Leakage Circuit breaker Earth-Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB). For several years, both the voltage and current-operated ELCBs were both referred to as ELCB (Earth-Leakage Circuit Breakers) due to their simple name to remember. But the applications of these 2 devices gave growth to the significant mix-up in the electrical industry.

02. SP MCB:

SP MCB
Fig 3: SP MCB
MCB SP means single pole it protects only one phase switching. MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) Curswitch is the most basic general-purpose switch that you use to control a light or another device from one location. These Switches Have Two Brass-Colored Screw Terminals Connected to the hot Power Source Wires. (MCB) For any Distribution Board, the Protection System Must be Used in The Incomer. Phase and Neutral Single Phase Supply to break. 120-volt circuits, 15-20 amp single pole breaker is typically used.

03. Switch:

switch
Fig 4: Switch
A Single-Pole, Single-Throw (SPST) Switch. It's Got one Output and One Input. The Switch will Either be Closed or Completely Disconnected. SPSTs are Perfect for on-off Switching. They're also a Very Common Form of Momentary Switches. SPST Switches are Commonly Used in a Variety of Electrical Circuits and Applications, Such as Turning on And off Lights, Fans, and Other Appliances. They can Also be Used to Control the Flow of Electricity to Different Parts of a Circuit or to Switch Between Different Circuits Altogether.

04. Light:

CFL light
Fig 5: CFL Light
CFLs work in a completely different way from ordinary lamps, they work by using a different process called fluorescence rather than generating light from heat. A typical light bulb wastes 90% of energy and converts only 10% of energy into light, this is where CFL has the biggest advantage. CFL- Curved or conical glass tube filled with argon and a small amount of mercury vapor. The inner wall of the glass is coated with fluorescent material. CFL- It is manufactured using the principle of creating fluorescent light. CFL- Originally white in color but now the construction and use of CFLs producing colored light has become popular.

05. 2 Pin Socket:

2 Pin Power Socket
Fig 6: 2-Pin Power Socket

A socket is a type of equipment used in electrical wiring lines that always has an electrical connection. According to the need, it can be supplied to the electrical equipment. In the case of electric iron, electric hand drill machine, electric hand grinder, etc. two-pin socket with an earth terminal is used. Also, three-pin sockets are used for electrical appliances that have a metal body and are likely to be electrified. Eg – Refrigerator, room heater, table heater, hot plate, electric oven, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the single-way switch?

One-Way Switches: If a light of the switch is '1 way' this means it is just an on/off switch. This is the simplest type of switch that you could get. The single switch controls a single light (and lighting circuit). 2-Way Switches: A '2-way' switch means there is another of the switches controlling the same light.

Are single pole sockets safe?

Single-pole sockets are perfectly legal or safe for many appliances, but it is safer to use double-pole sockets. Therefore is always better to use double poles of the sockets in all situations.

What is a single-wall switch?

A single-pole wall switch could control power to one circuit. It involves two wires that are connected by the switch to either turn on or off the current flow.

What is a single light switch called?

A single pole switch is used to control the light in a small closet and bathroom. It is called a single pole switch because there are 2- wires connected or separated by the switch mechanism.

What is a 2 way switch?

A two-way light switch is a switch that could be used in conjunction with another two-way light switch to turn a light (or lights) on or off from more than one location.
